The Nightingale lab in the Department of Biomedical Engineering in the Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University invites applications for a Research Associate position. Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering or a related field, with experience in programming diagnostic ultrasound imaging systems, computer programming and algorithm development, machine learning, and acoustic output characterization. Experience with prostate imaging and clinical trial management is also desirable. The job will entail supporting all aspects of the research being performed in the Nightingale lab. 
Responsibilities will include: 
1. Technical implementation of in vivo ultrasound guided targeted prostate biopsy studies
2. Algorithm development for image contrast enhancement and biopsy targeting 
3. Multi-modality prostate imaging data analysis 
4. Performing acoustic output measurements 
5. Providing general assistance and input into other ongoing studies in the Nightingale lab
