Essential Functions (Job Duties)
Basic laboratory research into the genetic etiology of childhood leukemia and the role of genetic-environmental interactions and leukemogenesis.
Perform a range of laboratory experiments including tissue culture, electorphoresis, PCR, nucleic acid isolation, Western blotting, subcloning, biochemical assays, etc.
Implement experiments, perform data analysis, and maintain a detailed record of experimental protocols and results.
Teach/advise junior laboratory staff in research methods.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree required in Biology, chemistry or related field with experience in molecular biology methods.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in an interdisciplinary setting.
