Division of General Internal Medicine (CRHC) is looking for a Research Assistant for the THRIVE study, where you can play a pivotal role in our
human-centered intervention aimed at improving harm reduction knowledge, access, and engagement in historically stigmatized environments. Your work will embrace the principle of "Nothing About Us Without Us," ensuring that individuals with lived experience, particularly people who use drugs, are at the forefront of the design process. As a Research Assistant, your responsibilities will involve collaborating with Peer Navigators to troubleshoot challenges and ensuring the seamless operation of the study. You will also be responsible for coordinating participant schedules and facilitating compensation processes. Conducts research assessments/procedures independently. Follows up with study participants to schedule appointments and maintain study retention. Reviews participants' records in data management system and ensures thorough completion. Attends relevant meetings and prepares reports, data visualizations, and basic models identifying progress and trends. Maintains and updates databases for registry assessments and clinical trial forms. Orders supplies, maintains inventory, and organizes laboratory.May perform data analysis involving routine procedures; assist in preparing standard operating procedures and manuals. Some travel may occur.



Job Summary

Conducts research assessments and procedures. Recruits, screens, and enrolls eligible participants in studies; escorts participants to research scanning sites. Updates databases for registry assessments and clinical trial forms.


Essential Functions 

Requires the ability to visualize a computer screen, to work with computer hardware and software, to communicate verbally and in writing, and to use a phone. The candidate must have strong working knowledge of English.


Physical Effort 

Position is mostly sedentary work.
