Under direct supervision, responsible for providing routine technical support for an actively funded research laboratory.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with major course work in the field of assignment, or any equivalent combination of education, experience and training.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
 Knowledge of scientific research techniques, methods and procedures. 
 Working knowledge of equipment used in related fields of research. 
 Considerable knowledge of health, safety, and security precautions in keeping with type of research being done. 
 Ability to set up and operate research instrumentation and equipment. Ability 
to make accurate assays and to prepare reports, charts, or graphs on results. 
 Ability to work effectively with fellow researchers, staff members, faculty, supervisors and students.
Preferred Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or a related field.

Job Duties

Assist with technical and clerical duties connected with research or clinical laboratory
o
Collects and processes research data.
o
Enters data from laboratory reports and data collection forms.
o
Assist in conducting experiments and research projects of limited complexity, collecting, evaluating, and interpreting data.
o
Maintains accurate documentation of study progress and regulatory documents.
o
Assures compliance with institutional policies, rules, and regulations to meet federal, state, and local standards of safety and ethics.
