Position Summary
Multiple research assistant positions in data processing for radiation oncology are available in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC-Chapel Hill).
The work will focus on exporting the patient radiation treatment data for a study to detect brain tumors automatically on MR images. Research interest along this direction will be accommodated for motivated candidates.
The successful candidates will be part of a multidisciplinary group including computer scientists, medical physicists, biostatisticians, and radiation oncologists. The new research will build upon the group’s previous work on medical image analysis using artificial intelligence.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and detailed orientated.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
BS degree or above in STEM fields. Experience in radiation therapy software such as MIM and Precision and knowledge of DICOM protocol is desired.
