Position Summary
THIS IS A TIME-LIMITED POSITION WITH AN ESTIMATED DURATION OF 3 YEARS.  This full-time position will provide research assistance to Dr. Louise Thoma and Dr. Dana McCarty within the Division of Physical Therapy. Work hours will be completed remotely and on-site, with occasional research tasks at UNC Health locations. This position will be managing the study through the drafting of study participant recruitment forms, scheduling the participants, and summarizing the study data.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Effective verbal and written communication skills required to accomplish tasks associated with this position. Excellent interpersonal skills with professionals and research team members.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
- Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) Training Certification (specifically Human Subjects and Good Clinical Practice);
- Experience with obtaining informed consent;
- Experience communicating via phone and email to schedule meetings with others;
- Experience with qualitative or qualitative data collection;
- Proficiency with statistical programs.
