Research: We will develop and support a rich array of outstanding health sciences research programs, centers, and resources. We will provide infrastructure and opportunities for collaboration among disciplines throughout and beyond our University to support outstanding research. We will foster programs in the areas of basic, translational, mechanistic, and population research.
This is a research assistant position which will recruit for projects involving pregnancy. Specifically, this position will be recruiting for the MIDAS study- a study recruiting pregnant women in the third trimester to determine the risk of current and future cardiovascular disease – through the use of pulse wave velocity. The RA would perform anthropometrics, the pulse wave velocity measurement on the mother and on the infant following delivery and at 6 and 12 months of age. Recruitment will take place over the phone and in various UNC OB clinics in Chapel Hill. Data collection and attention to detail extremely important, as are communication skills.
|Minimum Education and Experience Requirements||
Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
|Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience||
Experience in a healthcare setting.
|Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience||
Exposure to obstetric practice preferred.
Phlebotomy experience – preferred.
