We are looking for a Research Assistant, to join our striving Chemistry department! This position is crucial to providing project coordination, professional development, project collaboration and  organizational compliance and safety. We desire a candidate who has the preferred experience in conducting bio-chemical experiments and a preferred bachelor's in molecular biology. Required Education:

  • Appropriate bachelor’s or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others

  • Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s in Molecular Biology

  • Experience as a Research Assistant conducting bio-chemical experiments

Responsibilities:

  • Project Coordination  - Assists in the design, planning, and coordinating of experiments in support of various research projects & selects/applies standard techniques of routine research and keeps detailed records of data.

  • Professional Development  - Assists in participating in the analyzing and disseminating data results as part of participation in group meetings, preparing manuscripts, periodic reports, scientific papers/presentations, and grant proposals.

  • Project Collaboration - Assists undergraduate and/or graduate students and other laboratory, technical, or field staff involved in research.

  • Organizational Compliance & Safety - Installs, operates, maintains, and/or repairs research equipment. Assists with reports, invoices, and cataloging records.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
