  • Behavioral and Cellular Neuroscience
  • Clinical Psychology
  • Cognition and Cognitive Neuroscience Psychology
  • Industrial/Organizational Psychology
  • Social & Personality Psychology

In addition to the Department of Psychology’s 5 areas of specialization, we have overlapping research interests that bridge traditional areas of psychology. What you need to know

Salary Range - $25,000-$30,000 annually

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, Biology, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated high attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work with diverse groups of people and be helpful, respectful, approachable, and team oriented
  • Ability to build strong working relationships and a positive work environment
  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others
  • Ability to effectively communicate with undergraduate research assistants, graduate students, and faculty supervisor

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology
  • One or more years of experience as an undergraduate research assistant in psychology
  • One or more years of of management experience

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Interest in studying research related to diversity and organizational psychology
  • Basic SPSS knowledge and skills
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office and Google Apps effectively

Preferred Licenses and Certifications:

  • CITI Human Subjects Research Training

Responsibilities:

  • Interviewing, coordinating, and managing undergraduate research assistants
  • Helping with project management for principal investigator and graduate students
  • Writing, editing, and submitting manuscripts and grants
  • Submitting IRB applications
  • Purchasing
  • Performs other duties as assigned
