The School of Pharmacy is looking for a Research Assistant to serve as a member of the Pharmaceutical Sciences team. Required Education & Experience

  • Appropriate Bachelor’s degree or combination of equivalent experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • The candidate is expected to maintain cell cultures, assist in molecular biology techniques and animal handling.

  • Ability to interpret and analyze data, compile results, prepare reports, and present conclusions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in cellular/molecular biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, microbiology or other science field

Responsibilities:

  • Research - The research assistant will intensively participate in routine laboratory work like maintain cell cultures, running western blots, Elisa, Real-Time PCR, regular microscopic techniques and animal handling. The assigned work will be extended to collect, interpret, and analyze data, compile results, and present their conclusions. Provide animal care to laboratory rodent population. Ensures safety protocols and basic care are given to laboratory population.

  • Administrative - Under the supervision of Pl and other team members, the research assistant will assist in placing orders and procurement of various supplies and equipment for the laboratory. Responsible for collecting and producing technical reports. Will also participate in poster and podium presentation of the collected results.
