Required Education:


  • Appropriate Bachelor’s or equivalent combination of education and experience


Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

  • Experience working with diverse individuals and communities.

  • Familiarity with appropriate laboratory and/or technical equipment.


Preferred Education:


  • MS Degree


Preferred Experience:


  • Research experience in molecular biology and Drosophila genetics. Experience in immunostaining and confocal

  • imaging.



Preferred Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


  • Ability to, effectively utilize a computer and applicable software to create databases,

  • Perform statistical analyses,

  • Present data and perform other computer related tasks.


Job Responsibilities


  • Design, plan, conduct and coordinate experiments in support of various research project

  • Carry out experiments to explore the underlying cellular and molecular mechanisms of CDK8 in regulating lipid metabolism.

  • Evaluate, select, and apply standard techniques of routine research; keep detailed records of data.

  • Prepare and write proposals to funding agencies; maintain financial accounts related to research projects.

  • Summarize results for inclusion in scientific, and clientele oriented publications.

  • Supervise undergraduate and/or graduate students

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
