Job Overview

Phosphoproteomics and glycoproteomics are promising approaches discover cancer biomarkers. These approaches require unique skills in sample preparation and operation of mass spectrometry.

The Research Assistant – in a temporary, full-time role - prepares preparation serum samples for phosphoproteomics and glycoproteomics studies and analysis of the samples by LC-MS/MS.

Their work helps to advance the identification of biomarkers for early detection of cancer, and contributes expertise in conducting untargeted and targeted analysis of phosphoproteomics and glycopeptides within the Dr. Hablom Ressom Lab and across the department.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in chemistry or biochemistry
  • Skills in mass spectrometry

Preferred qualification

LC-MS/MS data analysis

Work Mode: On Campus.
