Summary:

The Department of Oral Health Sciences for Temple University is seeking candidates for a part time Research Assistant position for 20 hours per week. Primary responsibilities will be to utilize big data analytics packages to process and analyze large datasets efficiently including training, testing, and validating machine and deep learning, and other artificial intelligence methods. In addition, the Research Assistant will be responsible for data cleaning and manipulation, writing SQL queries, and database management. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, informatics or another related field and at least 6 months experience working with research data. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills & Abilities:

*Knowledge of python or other similar programming languages.

*Proficient in machine learning and deep learning

*Familiarity with database management.

*Must have strong written/verbal communication & interpersonal skills.

*Strong organizational, administrative, and time management skills with

strong attention to detail.

*Must have sound judgments with the ability to make independent decisions.

*Ability to work with others as part of a collaborative research team.

Preferred:

*Master’s degree.

This is a grant-funded position.
