| Job Description: |
The College of Dentistry, Department of Oral Biology is seeking applications for a full-time, non-tenure track, Research Assistant Scientist. The Gibson lab is looking for a Research Assistant Scientist interested in working on a pre-clinical vaccine development project with an industry partner. We are located in Gainesville, Florida; which is surrounded by spring-fed rivers and live oaks and located in close proximity (two hour drive) to Orlando, Tampa, or Jacksonville. UF provides a rich stimulating scientific environment for basic discovery, as well as clinical and translational cross-disciplinary studies. |

Salary and rank are commensurate with credentials and experience. |
| Minimum Requirements: |
Minimum Requirements: Ph.D. in Microbiology, Immunology, or Vaccinology, training in microbial genetics, and experience working with P. gingivalis. |
| Preferred Qualifications: |
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in microbial physiology of P. gingivalis, animal modeling, experience assessing immune response, as well as knowledge regarding regulation of gene expression. |
