Position Summary
The UNC Department of Otolaryngology (ENT) is seeking an Research Assistant Professor (Fixed Term) to conduct research projects on topics specific to cochlear implantation and cochlear implant device use. The major responsibility will be collaboration with clinicians and researchers in the development and execution of clinical research projects with pediatric and adult cochlear implant recipients. Duties may also include database management, subject correspondence, manuscript development, and trainee mentorship (e.g., doctorate of audiology students, department residents).
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
AuD and active NC licensure
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
The preferred candidate will have experience conducting clinical research with pediatric and adult cochlear implant recipients, presenting study findings at professional conferences, and authoring manuscripts on cochlear implant study findings. Experience mentoring doctorate of audiology students and medical residents is preferred.
