Research Assistant

 (Non-Exempt, Professional Hourly)

University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine


A full-time Research Assistant positon is opening with the Department of Pharmacology and Cell Biophysics at the College of Medicine. Under general supervision from a designated mentor, coordinate pre-clinical research projects. The anticipated start date is 5/1/2017.


  • Order supplies and animal requisitions
  • Maintain records of receipts and payments
  • Order and track controlled substances
  • Track and maintain inventory
  • Program coordination duties between collaborating laboratories at the University of Cincinnati in addition to outside collaborators in industry and at the NIH
  • Laboratory research using techniques such as the ELISA and radioligand binding assays
  • Opportunities to participate in preparation and writing of manuscripts and presentations at local and national meetings are anticipated


Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in a sciences related subject


Ideal Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a Master’s degree in a life sciences related subject


This position will be a professional position paid at an hourly rate.
