Job Overview

Metabolomics is a promising approach to discover cancer biomarkers. However, metabolite annotation is a bottleneck in untargeted metabolomics studies.

The Research Assistant has primary goals that include investigation of computational and analytical methods to increase the number of analytes with annotation in LC-MS-based metabolomics studies.

Work Interactions

The Research Assistant advances the effort to identify metabolite biomarkers for early detection of cancer, and enhances metabolomics expertise not only within the Ressom Lab, but also across the department.

Work Mode Designation

This position has been designated as Telework. Requirements and Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in chemistry or biochemistry
  • Skills in mass spectrometry

Preferred qualification

Experience with LC-MS/MS data analysis

The expected pay for this position is $20.16 to $31.29 per/hour.
