The CS Research Department within the School of Computer Science is looking for a Research Assistant Intern to join the team. The internship will take place during the summer semester, and the intern will engage with various course materials prepared by the TEEL Lab. The intern work on the AI Technicians project, which will involve testing cloud admin (and some devops) projects, going through the conceptual content, primers for necessary revisions, and organizing and contributing to course material to support quality metrics as a preparation for future packaging of courses.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Critically evaluate the materials and prepare written reports.
  • Regularly meet with supervisor, at least once a week as well as on an as-needed basis.
  • Learn about core topics in computer science by testing TEEL educational materials.
  • Work with project post-doc Jaromir Savelka in the Computer Science Department, learning about the project-based learning process.
  • Develop knowledge and hands-on skills in core CS topics, such as introductory-level programming.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Exposure to computer programming at the high school level.
  • A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
