Research Assistant – Infant Language and Learning Lab, Psychology Department

The Infant Language and Learning Lab (PI: Dr. Erik Thiessen) invites applications for a full-time research assistant. The position will involve day-to-day direction of a project investigating activity in the prefrontal cortex using fNIRS, an effort that will require recruitment, running, and compensation of participants, as well as data maintenance and analysis.
The Infant Language and Learning Lab is located in the Department of Psychology at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA. Our lab investigates the development of cognitive abilities, especially language, from infancy to adulthood. Qualifications:

  • B.A. or B. S. degree in psychology, statistics, neuroscience, decision science, or other related fields.
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, prior research and management experience, strong interpersonal skills, exemplary written and oral communication, ability to self-manage multiple projects, and the ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
