Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a related field and one or more years of research experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and work experience. Grade 3N

Position Description:

The Research Assistant III position will be responsible for the following essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Assist in statistical research by collecting, charting, and analyzing data, preparing and maintaining related files and records and disseminating resulting information.
  • IRB: annual continuing reviews, amendments, personnel changes, updates, new applications, sponsor-initiated amendments, communications (30+ studies and growing).
  • Manuscripts and book chapters: editing, submission, revisions, proofing, reformatting, EndNote citations, permissions, author forms, communications, archiving, file management.
  • CV: ongoing updates and cleanups, communications.
  • Applications: fellowship applications, awards, communications, etc.
  • University reporting assistance: endowed chair, faculty review, faculty scholarly activity, Bucks for Brains, 5 year review, etc.
  • CITI training: tracking and communications for all study staff (30+ studies)
  • ClinicalTrials.gov: new submissions, study updates and changes, annual reviews, communications, resolving issues.
  • Advarra: new submissions, study updates and changes, communications.
  • Conferences: abstract formatting and submission, editing and submitting posters and presentations, communications, tracking and archiving for DDW, IGES, ASPEN, ASGE, and various other presentations.
  • SharePoint: updates and file management, adding and removing users, communications.
  • Literature searches: finding chapters, articles, article translations, Interlibrary Loan requests, etc.
  • Assisting with grant submission and reporting, RPPR updates, NIHMS submissions and troubleshooting, GpCRC data entry PRN, and other support, Help with NIH Study data entry and uploading into NIH data bases.
  • U of L requirements for self: CITI training, HR reporting, ethics, software trainings, etc.
  • Office tasks: file management, backups, software upgrades, voice mail communications, etc.
  • Various other tasks on an as-needed basis.
Target Compensation Maximum:

$27.85

Target Compensation Minimum:

$18.56

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
