Job Summary
We are currently looking for a candidate for a full-time RA position in the SLAM (Speech, Language, and Music) lab at the University of Texas at Dallas (https://utd-slam.github.io/ ). This position is available for up to a two-year period, dependent on funding availability.
This Research Assistant I will provide technical assistant for various research projects and conducts research activities according to research protocol.
Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in one of the basic sciences or an equivalent combination of education and experience in customer service or in daily interactions in a public services environment.

Preferred Education and Experience
Prior experience with neuroimaging methods (e.g., fMRI/EEG) and clinical research is a plus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties & Responsibilities

  • Help manage and facilitate the lab’s research activities including data collection and analyses
  • Assist with participant recruitment
  • Assisting in gathering and maintaining IRB materials
  • Other duties as assigned

Essential Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing.
  • Must possess strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • A strong focus on attention to detail and accuracy is required.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Word and Excel is essential.
