Summary

This is a part time Research Assistant role that will support a state-funded research study led by Principal Investigator Lynnette Averill. This position focuses on investigating the efficacy of alternative therapies-MDMA, Psilocybin, and Ketamine-in treating Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) among veterans. The primary responsibilities include conducting research, literature reviews, regulatory tasks, and remote writing projects essential to advancing this research study.

Job Duties

  • Contribute to planning and conducting research experiments in alignment with approved general plans, advancing the study's objectives.
  • Gather, compile, and analyze data derived from research experiments and various sources to derive significant insights.
  • Conduct literature searches, distilling and presenting pertinent information central to the study's focus.
  • Document experimental findings and interpretations, presenting detailed reports to Principal Investigator Lynnette Averill.
  • Assist in the development and adaptation of computer programs crucial to supporting research goals.
  • Participate in determining appropriate research methodologies and procedures tailored to the study's needs.
  • Offer guidance and delegate tasks to junior research staff, ensuring their effective contribution.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or a related field.
  • Two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in basic science or a related field.
