Job Summary
The Early Detection and Intervention (EDI) program at the AJ Drexel Autism Institute focuses on research to improve screening, diagnosing, and treating autism spectrum disorder (ASD) as early as possible in order to improve lifelong outcomes. The EDI program is engaged in several projects in the community, including active screening of toddlers at pediatric check-ups and community-based settings and evidence-based treatment delivered in children’s homes or in other community settings. Driving/having a car is not required, but some sessions require traveling with other team members.
The key responsibilities will include: - Assisting with the administration of experimental and standardized testing measures to young children with an autism spectrum disorder, single and double entry of data - Assisting the clinical team with scoring measures used in diagnostic evaluations for preschoolers with autism - Assisting the clinical team in preparing written feedback to families by transferring scores from scoring software to tables in Microsoft Word - Setting up, filming, and cleaning up from diagnostic evaluations - Facilitating recruitment and raise awareness about our studies in community events - Attending weekly lab meetings - Assisting with literature reviews – Participant communication including recruitment calls, scheduling, sending reports – Ordering lab supplies – Taking meeting minutes and assisting in find meeting times – creating participant folders
Essential Functions
- Setting up, creating folders, organizing materials, filming, and cleaning up diagnostic evaluations.
- Participant communication including recruitment calls, scheduling, sending reports
- Scoring evaluation and/or treatment measures.
- Single and double entry of data.
- Assisting the clinical team in preparing written feedback to families, by transferring scores from scoring software to tables in Microsoft Word; proofreading reports before they are mailed to families.
- Attending lab meetings, journal clubs, clinical case conferences, monthly Institute meetings (e.g., no PowerPoint lunch), attending community events to raise awareness about our studies and/or to collect data at these events, assisting with literature reviews.
- Taking meeting minutes and assisting in find meeting times
- Administrative tasks such as ordering study protocols and lab supplies.
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent in Psychology or related field
- 1 year of Experience
- Experience working as RA or related role.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

Additional Information
This position is classified as Exempt, grade G. Compensation for this grade ranges from $32,530 - $48,790 per year. Please note that the offered rate for this position typically aligns with the minimum to midrange of this grade, but it can vary based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
