Department Summary | The Department of Family Medicine/ Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine is a multifaceted, interdisciplinary team of dedicated healthcare providers and researchers who are committed to providing excellence in clinical care, primary care education, and research. Through innovative curricular designs, early clinical experiences, and mentorship, the Department is focused on producing highly competent, caring, and compassionate Family Medicine/OMM physicians, helping reduce the shortage of primary care physicians in our Texas communities. |
Position Summary | The Osteopathic Research Center at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is seeking to hire a part-time research assistant director to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to: *Assists the Executive Director in the comprehensive planning and implementation of research operations. *Serves as co-administrator for REDCap Cloud research platform. Provide oversight to other digital research platforms as needed. *Assists with the delivery of clinical research training programs for medical students. *Oversees center finances to include budgeting, reports to funders (both grant and foundation), oversees grant expenses, oversees overall center expenses. *Assists in promoting research findings and publications to internal and external audiences as needed. * Ensures that Center complies with IRB and other research compliance policies. *Provides issue management as needed. *Assists with proposal development and submission to include working with Office of Sponsored Programs, etc. *Oversees promotion of ORC events. * Oversees responding to data questions from PI and others. *Assists with special projects such as transition to new vendors used to conduct various aspects of ORC research and work with basic science collaborators to oversee key aspects of research operations in alignment with institutional policies. *Performs other duties as assigned. *This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Minimum Qualifications | Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. |

Preferred Qualifications | • Excellent communication skills • Comprehensive knowledge of clinical research operations using digital research platforms • Experience working with faculty to deliver clinical research training programs to medical students • Well organized and attention to details • Be self-motivated, flexible/adaptable, and work independently • Able to multi-task across knowledge areas and manage multiple deadlines • Able to evaluate processes as well as develop and implement process improvement • Knowledge of and experience with serving as an administrator for digital research systems such as REDCap Cloud, Greenphire, and DocuSign highly preferred. |
