Job Description:

Budget Title: Research Assistant (NS-R3)

Salary: $52,228 (full-time, temporary, 12-month position)

The laboratory of Dr. Jennifer Hirschi has an open position for a Research Assistant in the area of physical organic chemistry. Candidates with a PhD in experimental organic chemistry and/or computational chemistry are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will be expected to oversee research projects in the Hirschi group in the chemistry department at Binghamton University. Interested applicants are requested to provide a CV, short research summary, and a portfolio of their publications as a single pdf file. The successful applicant should be highly motivated, an independent researcher, and a team player. This a two-year, temporary, appointment.


Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in experimental organic chemistry and/or computational chemistry
  • Track record of publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals
  • Strong writing, analytical and statistical skills preferred
