Position Summary:
The Villanova Center for Resilient Water Systems (also known as the Villanova Urban Stormwater Partnership) is hiring an individual to assist with stormwater monitoring, field testing, and laboratory testing and analysis. The position supports ongoing stormwater management research as part of our work on the William Penn Foundations Project.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • The individual would complete lab and/or field work to support stormwater sampling and flow and soil measurements.
  • Laboratory work includes soil classification testing, data management and analysis, maintaining a safe and clean lab, and preparing samples and equipment.
  • Field work may include assisting graduate students with maintaining field sites, collecting samples, installing/maintaining equipment, and infiltration testing.
  • Meet with the research team (fellow researchers, faculty, etc.) to share research progress and inspire new ideas during group brainstorming.
  • Perform other duties and assist with projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must have basic lab experience including testing, data management and analysis, maintaining a safe and clean lab, and preparing samples and equipment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including being well-versed in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, and be able to work independently as well as with others in a productive manner.

  • This position is for both on-campus and off-campus work.
