We are an innovative research Center looking for highly organized candidates who are excited to further develop their research skills in a patient-oriented setting at the Center for Behavioral Cardiovascular Health (CBCH). Under the supervision of the project manager, the Research Assistant will be responsible for supporting a broad range of research and administrative activities related to the mission of the Center. We anticipate developing new studies and research directions, so ideal candidates will be able to adapt to a fast-paced research environment with new research protocols, evolving responsibilities, work loads, and work schedules. Candidates should be comfortable in a team-oriented, collaborative work culture with frequent patient and doctor interaction in both English and Spanish, spanning conventional and off-shift hours, weekdays or weekends, as well as frequent off-site home visits. Research Assistant responsibilities may include: providing informed study consent, recruitment, and enrollment of study participants both on-site and off-site; scheduling follow-up visits; administration of standardized questionnaires; collection of physiological measures; utilization and management of electronic monitoring devices; organization of participant records; maintenance of CRFs; maintenance of research supply inventory; general equipment upkeep; and assisting in the completion of reports for Principal Investigators. Study-related activities may take place in a research office setting, the Emergency Department, and hospital rooms, as well as regular home visits. Candidates will be expected to work on more than one project and have excellent rapport with participants, patients and other research coordinators and staff at the Center. The Research Assistant will perform other related responsibilities as assigned. |

Requires a bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, physics or other related science and at least 1.5 years of related experience or equivalent in education, training and experience. The candidate selected for this position is required to undergo a drug screening test prior to a final offer of employment being made. |

Excellent phone, interpersonal, and communication skills with fluency in the Spanish language. Familiarity with electronic data capture systems. Proactive, extremely organized and able to multitask in a diverse research environment. Able to demonstrate flexibility in workload and work hours to meet critical deadlines. Capable of working effectively in groups. | |
Experience with the public in service or occupational roles. Experience in research, quality, or healthcare. | |
