We are seeking a Research Assistant - Casual who will be responsible for assisting the Principal Investigator and Project Coordinator in Informatics Core data entry and quality control activities for an observational study of individuals with a first degree relative with Alzheimer's disease or dementia. This study measures cognitive and biological biomarkers as predictors of onset of dementia.


Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Completing data entry of study data collection forms in a web-based data system.
  • Communicating with the Clinical Cores/centers via telephone, memoranda, letters, email.
  • Preparing standard reports for the Clinical Core.
  • Preparing materials for study-wide or committee meetings.
  • Assisting with quality control procedures, including auditing and other database quality control procedures.
  • Assisting with preparation of graphs and tables for written and oral presentations.
  • Participating in study meetings.
  • Other activities as required, such as filing or photocopying

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.
  • Additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

  • Proficiency in various computer software programs, including Word, Excel, EndNote, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent oral and written skills.
  • Exemplary organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
