Job Description:

The Research Assistant will be responsible for the day to day tasks associated with the Atlas of Retinal Imaging in Alzheimerâ™s Study (ARIAS) and the Repurposing Nucleoside Reverse Transcriptase Inhibitors for Treatment of Alzheimerâ™s Disease (LINE-AD) study, being conducted at Butler Hospitalâ™s Memory and Aging Program. They will assist with all study procedures/visits, assist with study recruitment, and assure timely completion of Case Report Forms. This position will interact directly with ARIAS staff. In addition, they will also attend team meetings and will keep the investigators informed about the needs of the study (i.e., lab supplies, etc.).

This is a fixed term position with a current end date of 12/31/2023 which may be extended based upon available funding.

Job Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Required: Bachelorâ™s Degree in Neuroscience, Psychology, or related field and 1-2 years of previous research experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Competencies

  • This position requires excellent time management and multi-tasking skills. RAs must demonstrate excellent interpersonal, organizational, computer, and communication (verbal and written) skills as well as good attention to detail, flexibility and ability to work well with a multi-disciplinary team.

  • Travel from Butler Hospital to Brown Campus will be necessary from time to time and transportation is needed.

  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Office programs.

  • Possesses a willingness and ability to support a diverse and inclusive environment.

Criminal and education background check required.
