Research Assistant - Biomedical Engineering

The Carnegie Mellon Biomedical Engineering department seeks to transform healthcare worldwide through interdisciplinary engineering innovation and to train future leaders and innovators in biomedical engineering.

Carnegie Mellon University’s department of Biomedical Engineering is searching for a Research Assistant to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. You will contribute to the department by providing research on fetal MRI images, and such other tasks as assigned to you.

Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Following research plans to collect, record, and manipulate research data.

  • Running optical simulations within research parameters.

  • Summarizing statistical information for analysis, examination, or presentation.

  • Identifying problems and obstacles to progress and establishing strategies to solve those problems.

  • Presenting research findings to industry collaborators.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma

Requirements:

  • Successful background check

  • Experience with Matlab

  • Programming skills
