Description

The University of Chicago's Department of Radiation & Cellular Oncology and the Ludwig Center for Metastasis are searching for one or more Research Assistant Professors, Research Associate Professors, or Research Professors, whose primary activity will be academic research in association with a faculty member or team. Appointees will be part of the Ludwig Center for Metastasis and will contribute to a research project in Immunology, specifically on the interaction of therapeutic radiation and the immune system as it applies to host factors that affect antigen presentation and T cell priming following radiotherapy. We expect the project to encompass cellular immunology, multicolor flow cytometry molecular techniques including RNA seq, single cell RNA seq, as well as other molecular techniques. We especially welcome applicants with  experience in murine tumor models, human translational studies, and past training of technicians. Publication record and ability to contribute to extramural grants will be considered. Appointees may apply for independent funding. Compensation, including a generous package of fringe benefits, is dependent upon qualifications.

Applicants must have: 1) a doctoral degree or equivalent in the biological sciences or a related discipline, and 2) completed postdoctoral training prior to the start of employment.
