Job Summary

Seeking an MSW student for a research assistantship. This is an opportunity to be a part of a research team on campus examining the impact of opioid use in rural Illinois. The research assistant will attend team meetings monthly, conduct phone interviews with providers and stakeholders, and transcribe interviews. This position starts January 16, 2024 and continues for 4.5 months. Work hours will be 12 hours per week. Work schedule is flexible but phone interviews will need to be conducted during the work week (e.g. M-F 8am to 5pm). The rate of pay is $18.00 per hour. There is no tuition waiver for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

Fluent oral communication in English. Comfort in conducting phone interviews and cold calling. Experience with transcription preferred. Current enrollment in social work preferred, graduate standing preferred.


Work Hours

Flexible, 12 hours per week. Phone interviews will need to be conducted during the work week (e.g. M-F 8am to 5pm).
