The College of Pharmacy is looking for a Research Assistant to serve as a member of the Pharmaceutical Sciences team. We desire an individual who subscribes to and supports our commitment as stated above. Required Education:

• Appropriate Bachelor’s or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Education:

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or molecular biology

Preferred Experience:

• Experience drafting manuscripts based on experimental results.
• Experience interpreting and analyzing data, compiling results, preparing reports, and presenting their conclusions.

Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to communicate with others.
• Ability to mentor and train junior students or undergraduate research students in the laboratory.
• Ability to perform standard molecular biology, tissue culture, and animal related studies.
• Ability to work independently on his/her project
• Ability to read and comprehend literature in his/her field

Preferred Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to effectively work with diverse individuals and communities. 

Job Responsibilities

• The research assistant will intensively participate in data analysis and preliminary data collection and also provide support for establishing a workshop for interprofessional education
• The student will also compile data files set from research teams.
• The assigned work will be extended to collect, interpret, and analyze data, compile results, prepare reports, and present their conclusions.
• Under the supervision of Pl and other team members, the research assistant will organize the interprofessional collaboration between the pharmacy students and the students of the kinesiology and criminal justice disciplines.
• The research assistant will also assist in the design of survey, case-based interprofessional practice and to analyze the preliminary data.
• The student will also participate in poster and podium presentation of the collected results.
• Other duties as assigned
