Job Summary:
The STRONG STAR Training Initiative (strongstartraining.org) is looking to recruit a dynamic Research Area Specialist to
 join an established team to support a national behavioral health training program. The STRONG STAR Training Initiative
 is a nationally recognized, grant funded training program dedicated to increasing access to evidence-based treatments for
 PTSD and related mental health problems through training mental health clinicians, allied health providers, students, and
 care navigators and conducting translational clinical research. Under general supervision the candidate is responsible for
 daily support of and administration of training activities, will work closely with other team members, participate as required
 in meetings, and take part in training sessions in order to learn and improve their skills. The candidate will collaborate
 with other teams within the organization or externally, support program evaluation through tracking progress of trainees,
 help develop reports for the program and contribute to scholarly presentations and publications. Overall, the candidate
 will be expected to perform a variety of responsibilities to support the success of the national training program, and their
 dedication and efficiency in performing these tasks will contribute significantly to the program's overall success.
Job Duties:
- Assists in conducting research projects according to the research plan/project.
- Performs duties in support of the project(s) such as scheduling meetings, maintaining attendance records, updating
 program documentation, and handling logistics related to the training sessions.
- Collect and compile feedback from participants, track progress of individual trainees, and help develop reports for the
 program.
- Communicating with consumers of the training program to include answering questions, providing support during training
 sessions, and helping participants address any issues they may encounter.
- Responsible for providing technical support to trainers and participants. This may include troubleshooting issues with
 online communication tools, providing guidance on various software, operating equipment, or setting up equipment
 needed for training sessions
- Obtaining research data, organizing data, researching records and entering data in a research database.
- Assist in conducting literature reviews and maintains information.
- Assists in the maintenance of information and literature, and keeps current on literature and developments in the areas of
 research.
- Prepares materials for publication.
- Performs all other duties as assigned. 

Education:
Bachelor's degree in an educational/social science is required.
Experience:
Up to one (1) year related experience is required.
