Research Analyst

Job Summary

The End HepC SF’s epidemiologic, surveillance and programmatic data portfolio is growing. We are seeking a skilled analyst who can support continued innovation, contextualization and implementation of HCV testing, diagnosis, treatment and cure data across multiple information platforms.

The Research Analyst will work on research data reporting assignments that are of moderate diversity in scope. Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. The Analyst will manage information and conduct analysis under the supervision of End HepC SF leadership to progress activities. These products will inform reports, presentations, and manuscripts. The position is based in San Francisco, with opportunity for remote work as appropriate.

This position will be hired through UCSF’s Institute for Global Health Sciences, and will be supervised by a UCSF faculty member. The specific work will be with a collective impact initiative, End HepC SF.

Please Note: This is a 25-30% contract position for one year from the date of hire.

UCSF Institute for Global Health Sciences (IGHS) is dedicated to improving health and reducing the burden of disease in the world’s most vulnerable populations. Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public health or related area and one or more years of related experience; and / or equivalent experience / training
• Working knowledge of population research; epidemiology
• Working skills in statistical analysis, system programming, database design and data security measures
• Working skills in report and manuscript writing
• Skills to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner both verbally and written

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s level training in epidemiology
