JOB DUTIES
Description
The Department of Molecular & Medical Pharmacology is currently seeking to hire a Research Administration Supervisor who under the guidance of the Department Chair, alongside the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and other key departmental leaders, will play a pivotal role in leading the Department of Molecular & Medical Pharmacology’s pre- and post-award administration team for both internal and external research funding. Directly overseeing a team of skilled professionals, in this role, you will serves as a primary advisor to the department and its administration. Responsibilities include problem-solving, policy interpretation (such as fiscal management, Human Resources, and contract compliance), and maintaining a deep understanding of relevant subject matter. Decision-making within established guidelines ensures appropriate actions are taken, while ensuring accountability and efficient utilization of departmental resources, aligned with organizational objectives. Annual rate: $86,900-$197,300
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications
Required: * Bachelor’s degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training; 5+ years of experience in Research Administration; * Proven experience as an effective team leader and supervisor, guiding team members to success; * Expanded knowledge of financial and accounting concepts, including interpreting financial statements; Strengthened interpersonal skills for effective communication and relationship building; * Enhanced ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and comply with policies and regulations. * Improved analytical skills to analyze financial data and propose solutions; * Heightened attention to detail in managing complex administrative and financial tasks; * Advanced proficiency with Adobe and Microsoft suite software. Preferred: * Demonstrated commitment to ethics, integrity, and confidentiality in handling sensitive information
