Essential Job Duties | The Accounting Technician – Contracts and Grants Specialist is part of an administrative team that reports to the Assistant Director of Research Administration in the College of Sciences Research Office but also works directly with faculty to manage sponsored research projects. As the Research Accounting Technician, you will be responsible for executing and monitoring post-award-related financial transactions in the College of Sciences. In this role you will provide grant management accounting support to Pls, including transaction initiation and reconciliation, no-cost extensions, re-budgets, budget justifications, summer salary, salary release, and navigation of all compliance issues within the University, Federal Government, and Agency guidelines. We are looking for someone who has familiarity with grants and research administration and enjoy working with faculty to efficiently initiate and manage transactions in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. If you are service-oriented, comfortable working independently but also as part of a specialized team and proactive in reporting and project management to support faculty through the complex research administration infrastructure, we encourage you to apply. |
