Summary

The Division of Nuclear Medicine, Department of Radiology is currently seeking an employee with a background in radiation dosimetry, computer science, engineering, and/or image processing.  This person will assist on multi-disciplinary research projects between the Medical School (Radiology, Radiation Oncology) and Engineering School (Electrical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering).

Responsibilities*
  • Perform patient image analysis and dosimetry calculation.
  • Assist in research containing Monte Carlo modeling and experimental measurements related to quantitative PET or SPECT imaging.
  • Compile patient or research data sets and maintain documentation for preparation of conference abstracts and manuscripts related to nuclear medicine imaging/dosimetry research.

Required Qualifications*
  • Bachelor?s degree in physics, medical physics, computer science or engineering field

Desired Qualifications*
  • Bachelor?s degree in physics, medical physics, computer science or engineering field. 
  • Classwork related to medical physics dosimetry.
  • Proficient in MATLAB, Python, and Excel.
