Job Description:

Are you a goal-oriented self-starter? Do you love to talk with people and have the heart of an entrepreneur? Do you live in the state of New Jersey or Pennsylvania? If so, you're in luck because Champlain College is seeking to fill a full-time, remote admissions counselor position. The results-driven individual will be assigned a primary geographic territory of New Jersey and Pennsylvania in this full-time, remote position. This position will be responsible for all aspects of the admissions recruitment cycle, including travel to high schools and college fairs, and communicating with school counselors, secondary school teachers, prospective students and families in person and virtually. This position will require the ability to adapt to change, a competitive drive, and a willingness to connect with others and share enthusiasm for the College and its programs. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build enrollment with targeted recruitment activities.
  • Maintain current and develop new partnerships with school counselors, secondary school faculty members, and independent counselors in the name of Champlain College for the purpose of recruiting new students to the College. 
  • Represent the College at various fairs and informative programs. 
  • Develop and maintain an overall knowledge of each program and division at the College. 
  • Maintain accurate visit and recruiting records for all high schools in an assigned territory. 
  • Assist prospective students and their families through the college enrollment process by phone, email, social networking, and traditional mail. 
  • Travel and work flexible hours to recruit high school students through presentations at high school fairs, and collaborative work with partners, schools or community groups, and other off-campus events as needed. 
  • Extensive regional travel is required in the fall and spring seasons, during the week and weekends, for the purposes of new student recruitment. 
  • Work regionally with alumni for engagement and recruitment purposes. 
  • Occasional travel to campus will be required for training and special events. 
  • Other miscellaneous duties may be assigned.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Three or more years of experience in college admissions or sales
