Position Responsibilities


Position Summary
This individual will conduct federally funded research related to nutrition and women’s health, teach undergraduate and graduate courses related to nutrition, and provide outreach and service related to nutrition and women’s health as part of the COBRE in Nutrition and Women’s Health. This will include oversight of seminar series and mentoring of junior faculty (research project leaders and pilot project grantees) associated with the COBRE. This is an advanced faculty position with an open rank negotiable for an appointment of Assistant, Associate, and Full professor. Rank and tenure are negotiable based on how the candidate meets the criteria outlined in department and college bylaws.

Qualifications


Minimum Education/Degree Required Listed degree qualification is required at time of hire.
Required Qualifications
  • PhD in Nutrition or related discipline. 
  • Experience obtaining federal research funding related to nutrition and women’s health.
  • Experience completing federally funded projects related to nutrition and women’s health.
  • Experience publishing research findings in refereed journals.
  • Experience mentoring junior faculty and graduate students conducting research related to nutrition.
  • Experience with oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience providing leadership and leading training programs.
  • Experience or interest in conducting interdisciplinary work, particularly with other faculty in the Margaret Ritchie School of Family and Consumer Sciences.
  • Experience teaching introductory nutrition.
  • Experience teaching graduate courses in nutrition.
