The Registration Services Specialist will be the main point of contact for graduate students, faculty, staff, and the public who have inquiries about registration, admission, graduate associateships, and university fees. This position will research and address questions and issues related to graduate students and will answer incoming calls and respond to email inquiries using Salesforce. They will apply their knowledge of University and Graduate School policies and procedures to answer student, faculty, and staff questions and will direct customers to the appropriate Graduate School staff person if additional resources or information is needed.   Additionally, this position will coordinate the Transfer of Program and Transfer of Credit processes with a reasonable level of independence and collaborate with external units for processing. They will assist with the petition review process for late course add/drop. They will also assist the Director of Registration Services, Student Services Manager, Strategic Communications Program Manager, and Senior Assistant Dean with special projects of moderate scope and complexity as needed. Lastly, this position will develop and deliver digital messaging directly to new, existing, and former graduate students, linking them to the Graduate School and all aspects of graduate student life. They will be responsible for digital on-site communication with Graduate Students, including monitors, kiosks, and new efforts surrounding student digital devices.

Duties/Responsibilities

30% - Serves as a frontline point of contact, providing support for graduate students, faculty, staff and the general public regarding the Graduate School and University policies and procedures. Provides information on admissions, on-boarding, registration, and payment of university fees. Includes emails, phone calls, and walk-ins.

30% - Salesforce ticketing resolution across the Graduate School; Research student issues within internal Grad School systems as well as campus wide university systems.

20% - Coordinates transfer of program and transfer of credits and collaborates with external units for processing; assists in the coordination of petition review process for late course add/drop, monitors and tracks petitions and responds to inquiries.

15% - Various projects as directed by unit leadership.

5% - Delivers the Graduate School’s digital messaging across a variety of platforms to new, existing, and former graduate students.

Education/Experience

Required : Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 2 years of relevant experience required.

Desired : Minimum of 0-2 years of relevant experience in higher education; knowledge of university and Graduate School systems, policies, and procedures; experience working with diverse groups; strong people skills; sincere interest in assisting and working with students, and excellent written, verbal and organizational skills.


Additional Information:

The Target Hourly Range is $22.16 - $29.54
