Position Description


Advertised Job Summary
The University of South Carolina Beaufort is accepting applications for an Office Manager for the Office of the Registrar. The ideal applicant will be responsible for performing a variety of complex administrative and technical support duties, to include but are not limited to: records management, database updates, office correspondence, and liaison with the Columbia Registrar’s Office. The Office Manager will also plan, coordinate, and perform all administrative duties to support the Office of the Registrar with a high degree of individual discretion and policy interpretation.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma and 1 or more years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of work experience that is directly related to the area of employment, or high school diploma and 7 years work experience that is directly related to the area of employment; or equivalency.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Knowledge of the principles, policies and practices of office management. Knowledge of the principles, policies and practices of document management, including imaging. Ability to deal courteously and effectively with the public. Excellent organizational, written/oral communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products and information databases, preferably Banner. Knowledge of and ability to interpret FERPA, State and University policies and procedures related to student academic records.
