Harborview Medical Center’s Burn Plastics Surgery Clinic has an outstanding opportunity an 60% (24 hours per week), Day shift, Registered Nurse (RN2) position.

Several medical providers and nurses in the Burn and Plastic Surgery Clinic, with specialized training and expertise in burn and wound care, provide outpatient care and service to patients throughout the WAMI region. This clinic is the outpatient arm of the UW Medicine Burn Center, which also includes the intensive care and acute care inpatient units within Harborview Medical Center. Key to effective burn care, is the clinic nurse's ability to coordinate care provided by a multi-disciplinary team involving attendings, fellows, residents, nurse practitioners, physician's assistants, occupational and physical therapy, Rehab Psychologists, Vocational Rehab Counselors, to name a few.

The Burn and Plastic Surgery Clinic RN performs specific leadership functions related to clinical practice, education, and management, as delegated by, and in collaboration with the Nurse Manager.

The clinic provides therapeutic and operative support to adults and pediatric patients, for the following, but not limited to, medical conditions:
• burns
• burn reconstruction
• skin disorders
• soft tissue injuries, including hand trauma
• scar management
• facial trauma
• congenital facial deformities
• gender affirming surgery

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• At least 1 year RN experience in Burn and/or Pediatric Specialty Care
• ABLS and/or PAWS certification preferred
• CPR certification required, ACLS preferred

LEGAL REQUIREMENTS:
Washington State RN license required by start date.
