Registered Nurse (Motility) - Medical Specialty Care Clinic / UMH

■  Responsible for the continuous and ongoing clinical management of the     

     outpatient population of assigned patients. 

     This will be accomplished while carrying out the Mission, Goals and Objectives of

     the University of Miami Hospital, while focusing on the patients, physicians, and the

     employees as customers.

■  Facilitates communication with other departments to ensure efficiency & coordination of   

care.

■  Participates in the quality program while providing continuous assessment and 

     improvement of the quality of care and/or service. 

■  Promotes and supports the hospital to all potential customers through an active role in the 

    hospital as well as in the community.

■  Participates in the education of patients family and staff.


A graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN) with a valid State of FL RN license.  In addition to education, a minimum of 2 years of medical/surgical nursing experience required. Gastroenterology or procedural nursing experience preferred Must have current BLS certification. Any combination of relevant education, work experience, and / or certifications will be considered.

Patient safety is a top priority. As a result, during the Influenza ("the flu") season (September through April), the University of Miami School of Medicine requires all employees who provide ongoing services to patients, work in a location (all Hospitals and clinics) where patient care is provided, or work in patient care or clinical care areas, to have an annual influenza vaccination.
