Job Summary
The Registered Nurse II provides professional nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients.

Job Description
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
- Directs patients/student care to include but not limited to: obtaining relevant health and medical history, performing physical exams, identifying health risk factors, and inputting information into electronic health records.
- Monitors care and suggests ways to provide continuous quality improvement.
- Applies appropriate policies, procedures, protocols, and standards of practice.
- Assists with the developing and reviewing of policies.
- Collaborates with healthcare team demonstrating knowledge of specific conditions, diseases, and treatment therapies.
- May develop and coordinate educational related to specific health topics.
- Sterilize, assemble and use of medical equipment and prepares treatment room for patients.
- Performs routine laboratory tests and sample analyses.
- Assumes clinic and operational related duties as needed.
- Adheres to and complies with HIPAA.
- Serves as essential personnel and provides assistance in the event of an emergency on campus.
Other Duties:
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Additional Job Description
Required Qualifications:
- Licensed as a registered nurse in accordance with Chapter 464, Florida Statutes, or eligible to practice nursing in accordance with Section 210, Florida Administrative Code.
- Current American Red Cross CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
- Two years of professional, full-time clinical experience in a physician’s office
- Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.
- Experience operating a personal computer and proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in college health, health education and various clinical backgrounds.
- Experience with electronic health records.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of federal, state and local laws, statues, regulations, codes, and standards related to the area of responsibility.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects within deadlines.
- Ability to operate personal computers with proficiency and learn new applications and systems.
- Ability to diffuse and respond professionally to stressful situations and difficult people.
- Ability to interact in a professional manner with a diverse group of staff, faculty, students, and the community in a service-oriented environment.
- Ability to think critically and make clear, well-reasoned and timely decisions.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations and environments.
- Ability to take initiative to plan, organize, coordinate and perform work in various situation when numerous and diverse demands are involved.
