Department Summary
The Events Team within the department of Admissions & Recruitment works in close collaboration with all schools and programs to support prospective student interviewing and campus visits.
Position Overview
The Admissions Associate will provide excellent customer service by greeting visitors and prospective students, handling their inquiries or directing them to the appropriate persons according to their needs. They will maintain departmental statistics, websites and event calendars. They will be responsible for departmental purchases and database maintenance.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and one (1) year related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications: * One year of experience in copy writing, technical writing or creative/media writing. * Working understanding of CRM systems. * Experience developing content and/or strategies for social media tools, writing and editing content for external communications, and a high degree of professionalism and customer service skills. * Excellent oral and written communications skills, as well as a strong understanding of social media and online technologies.Excellent customer service & organizational skills.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite Programs.
Required License / Registration / Certification
Work Schedule
Friday, 8am-5pm, with occasional evenings or weekends as required for divisional events.

Job Duties


o
Handle purchasing and financial operations; process procurement card requests, travel documentation, and purchase orders.  Monitor procurement card usage for the department
o
Open, read, route, and distribute incoming mail and email, or other materials, and answer routine letters. Mail newsletters and promotional materials.
o
Manage paper or electronic filing systems, recording information, updating paperwork, or maintaining documents, such as attendance records, correspondence, or other material. Uses computers for various applications, such as database management or word processing.
o
Oversee campus tours for prospective students.
o
Maintain and enter information into databases and website, including the maintenance of departmental statistical information.
o
Compose, type, and distribute meeting notes, routine correspondence, or reports, such as presentations or expense, statistical, or monthly reports. 
o
Process procurement card requests, travel documentation, and purchase orders. Monitor procurement card usage for the department
o
Answer telephones and give information to callers, take messages, or transfer calls to appropriate individuals.
