ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY:
Central HR consists of multiple areas of expertise including Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Classification & Compensation; Employee and Labor Relations; Continuous Process Improvement, HRIS, HR Business Partners and Talent and Learning Management. USF Human Resources is embarking on a multi-year transformation focused on a Human Resources strategy that elevates our people so that the University and culture support a competitive workforce advantage in line with our strategic plan.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Recruiting HR Partner - Faculty will play a crucial role in attracting and hiring top-tier academic talent to contribute to the University's mission of excellence in education, research, and community engagement. Reporting to the Manager of Talent Acquisition, the successful candidate will collaborate with academic departments and hiring managers to identify, engage, and recruit diverse and qualified faculty members.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with Academic Departments: Work closely with academic departments to understand faculty hiring needs, departmental goals, and the unique qualifications required for each position. Develop Recruitment Strategies: Devise and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract a diverse pool of highly qualified faculty candidates. Utilize various sourcing methods, including job boards, professional networks, and outreach programs.
Candidate Engagement: Engage with prospective candidates through various channels, including networking events, conferences, and online platforms. Build relationships with potential faculty members to convey the opportunities and benefits of joining the University of South Florida.
Screening and Evaluation: Conduct thorough screening of applicants to ensure alignment with the University's academic and cultural values. Evaluate candidates through interviews, reference checks, and other assessment methods.
Collaborate with Hiring Managers: Partner with hiring managers to facilitate the interview and selection process. Provide guidance on best practices for candidate evaluation and ensure a great candidate experience.
Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with university policies and applicable employment laws. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of the recruitment process.
Performs other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field with 3 years of experience in Faculty Recruiting. Or a high school diploma with 7 years of experience in Faculty Recruiting.
Proven experience in recruiting faculty members or academic professionals in a higher education setting.
Strong understanding of academic hiring processes, faculty appointment types, and tenure-track considerations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Degree Equivalency Clause: Four years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree.
