Help find and attract outstanding talent for one of the world’s most innovative and creative multidisciplinary research institutions.  Los Alamos National Laboratory is looking for an entry-level talent acquisition professional to collaborate with Recruiters and hiring managers in the search for some of the best and brightest talent on the planet.

Minimum Job Requirements:

 

Recruitment Collaboration and Team Work


  • Entry-level experience effectively working with applicants, Recruiters, and/or hiring managers

Candidate Sourcing


  • Entry-level knowledge of and experience with recruiting strategies and/or tools used to network, source, screen, and/or qualify candidates for a variety of positions

Requisition Management


  • Entry-level experience working with recruiting requisitions, including job postings, dispositioning of candidates, working with hiring documents, and/or justifications for selection and non-selection

Diversity and Inclusion


  • Entry-level knowledge of diversity and inclusion principles and/or strategies as they relate to talent acquisition

Desired Qualifications:

Engineering and IT


  • Experience recruiting for engineering and/or information technology is preferred

Department of Energy


  • Entry-level knowledge of and/or experience with recruiting for Department of Energy (DOE) Laboratories or Sites preferred, but not required

Education:

Position typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field and a minimum of 2 years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Location: This position will be part of the Laboratory’s Telework Pilot and may work from a remote/home location within a two-hour ground commute of the Laboratory.  The Telework Pilot is in effect from Oct. 1, 2020 through Sept. 30, 2021, but may be shortened or extended at the manager’s discretion. Ability to report on-site is a must for this position.

Position commitment: Regular appointment employees are required to serve a period of continuous service in their current position in order to be eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory. If an employee has not served the time required, they may only apply for Laboratory jobs with the documented approval of their Division Leader. The position commitment for this position is 1 year.

Additional Details

Directive 206.2 - Employment with Triad requires a favorable decision by NNSA indicating employee is suitable under NNSA Supplemental Directive 206.2 Please note that this requirement applies only to citizens of the United States.  Foreign nationals are subject to a similar requirement under DOE Order 142.3A.

Clearance: Q (Position will be cleared to this level).  Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements* for access to classified matter.

 

*Eligibility requirements:  To obtain a clearance, an individual must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in very limited circumstances. See DOE Order 472.2 for additional information.

New-Employment Drug Test: The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.

 

Regular position: Term status Laboratory employees applying for regular-status positions are converted to regular status.

Internal Applicants: Regular appointment employees who have served the required period of continuous service in their current position are eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory. If an employee has not served the required period of continuous service, they may only apply for Laboratory jobs with the documented approval of their Division Leader.
