Job Summary
Work collaboratively with the Assistant Director to provide a comprehensive intramural sports and sport club program to meet the diverse needs of the UTA community. 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
 Leadership and supervision of the Intramural Sports program, which include eighteen (18) team sports and twenty-eight (28) individual and dual sports. Hire, schedule, supervise, and train approximately one hundred (100) student intramural sports staff. Work collaboratively with the assistant director to provide a comprehensive intramural sports and sport club program to meet the diverse needs of the UTA community. Use a variety of avenues and mechanisms to effectively market the Intramural Sports Program. Plan and design sport offerings to include by not limited to sports leagues and tournaments. Collaborate with department staff to ensure facility spaces are maintained as needed to meet industry standards for programmatic use. Resolve sportsmanship issues including participant discipline. Coordinate or assist with department/University special events. Serve on campus departmental committees. Implement program assessment tools to assess market needs and interests, participant satisfaction and overall program feedback. Report on results, including strategies for process improvement. Performs other duties as assigned. 
Required Qualifications
 Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Recreation, or related field. Two (2) years of experience in recreational sports or related field or the equivalent experience. Valid Class “C” Operator’s Driver’s License. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. One (1) year of supervisory experience. Prior experience in sports officiating. 
Preferred Qualifications
 Master’s degree. Experience in collegiate recreation and intramural sports. Ability to work with diverse student population. Current American Red Cross CPR/AED Instructor Certification. Membership in NIRSA: Leaders in Collegiate Recreation. 
Working Conditions
Special Conditions for Eligibility
 Experience in officiating and training officials for a minimum of two of the following- basketball, flag football, softball, soccer, or volleyball. Experience in league and tournament scheduling. Strong communication skills (oral, written, and listening). Computer skills.
