Position Summary:


The primary functions of this position include: Pre-doctoral education in fixed, removable, implant prosthodontics, occlusion, biomaterials, and operative dentistry, participation in pre-doctoral and post-doctoral teaching; participation in the Departmental Master of Dental Science degree program; scholarly activity; research; service; teaching preclinical courses; serving as an advisor for students; lecturing in departmental courses as directed; participation on committees as assigned; other assignments as directed by the Chair.
Oversee the daily tasks of the Georges E. Sara Digital Dentistry Center and other laboratories with digital equipment.
Provide training in the new dental technology and digital equipment.
Provide instructions of technical components of dental technology.
Participate in Rutgers School of Dental Medicine's continuing education programs by assisting with curriculum development of digital dental technology. Review cases with dental faculty, pre, and postdoctoral students for furthering educational purpose.
Produce fixed, implant, and removable dental prostheses utilizing digital software and CAD/CAM technology.
Implement and maintain protocols for quality assurance and quality control of digitally fabricated prostheses.
Procure appropriate equipment/software as necessary.
Take part in expanding digital technology, to include any digital software or equipment updates that are on the market – this may entail participating in local, regional, and/or national meeting to keep the Georges E. Sara Digital Dentistry Center current.

Minimum Education and Experience:


· Candidates must possess a DDS /DMD from a US or Canadian CODA-accredited dental school or equivalent;
· Currently be eligible for dental licensure in the State of New Jersey or New Jersey Limited Teaching Certificate in Dentistry.
· Currently hold a Masters degree in dentistry, or preferably, a PhD in dentistry.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
· Previous academic teaching is preferred
· Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
